Sherlock Norheim is an Oakland-based multidisciplinary artist, working in the visual arts. Her practice combines sculpture, painting, movement, photography, invented ritual, installation, and meditation practices gone awry. She studied classical and modern dance movements, has spent much of her life as a graphic designer, and holds an MFA in fine art from Mills College and BFA in graphic design from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

She has presented her work at Euqinom Projects in San Francisco; The Franklin in Chicago; CTRL+SHFT in Oakland; Hashimoto Contemporary in San Francisco; Embark Gallery in San Francisco; Bass & Reiner in San Francisco, and Mills College Art Museum in Oakland, SITE in Santa Fe, and Dead Space in Brooklyn, among other venues.

She has been a resident artist at Wassaic Projects NY, Vermont Studio Center, Teton Art Labs WY, and the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation NM. She is a recipient of the Gertrude Murphy Fellowship and Helene Wurlitzer Fellowship, has been nominated for the Tosa Studio Award and the San Francisco Artist Award, and was a finalist for the Headlands Graduate Fellowship.
