“Embark Gallery’s newest exhibition, #simulacra, asks how Jean Baudrillard’s philosophical treatise “Simulacra and Simulation” is relevant in the digital era. We live in a visual culture in which it is increasingly easy to participate. Images are all-important, and no longer mere symbols of truth. As Baudrillard predicted, reality itself has begun to imitate what was once its model. This medium-specific show explores signs, memory and documentation from a diverse sampling of perspectives.”
The resulting solo show from my October artist in residence at Local Language, Surface Tension, is up for the month of November in Oakland, CA.
November 4th – November 28th

My new books Instructions for Time Travel I and II are on display and available for purchase at Bass and Reiner‘s Art Book Show from July 16th – September 3rd. Was great to have them up during the first SF Art Book Fair at Minnesota Street Projects.
I made two drawings for Southern Exposure‘s Monster Drawing Rally this year. You can see one here which sold while hanging upside down.
My work is in the 2016 MFA Exhibition at the Mills College Art Museum from April 30th – May 29th.
“The MFA Exhibition features work in a wide range of media—painting, photography, sculpture, installation, and video—created by the emerging artists of the Mills College MFA in Studio Art Program. Students showcase a final body of work produced as the culmination of their graduate experience. This year’s presenting artists are Alexandra Bailliere, Elizabeth Bennett, Eryka Fiedler, Joel Frank, Nico Harriman, Jacqueline Sherlock Norheim, Holden Schultz, Jingwei Qiu, and Leila Weefur.”
